About the role#
Kwest Group offers a Project Management Internship for individuals seeking hands-on experience in civil construction. You will work alongside senior project managers to support estimating and project management tasks across multiple sites. This position is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. Interns may be offered subsequent internship periods based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support to the project management team.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and solicit bids.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in pricing bid documents.
- Request timely reports from project foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to pass 30 Hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Ability to meet physical demands verified through a pre-employment physical examination.
