About the role#
Kwest Group is seeking a Project Management Intern to join our civil construction team. This role provides hands-on experience in estimating and project management support. Interns assist our project managers on multiple projects while gaining exposure to the construction industry. This is a paid, full-time position located in Perrysburg, Ohio, with a rolling term. Performance during the internship may lead to offers for subsequent terms.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support and vendor coordination, including soliciting bids and quotes.
- Schedule and assist in the management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help project managers with pricing bid documents.
- Request and track reports from foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members.
- Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid math and analytical skills.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time.
- Ability to complete tasks independently.
- Strong teamwork and client-facing skills.
- Ability to pass 30-hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including a pre-employment physical examination.
Location & details#
- Location: Perrysburg, OH.
- Work environment: Active construction sites with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 lbs. You must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including a respirator if necessary.
