About the role#
Kwest Group is looking for a Project Management Intern to support our civil construction projects. You will work alongside senior project managers to assist with estimating and general project management tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in the construction industry and offers the potential for subsequent internship periods based on your performance.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support to the project management team.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and assist in their management.
- Provide vendor support and solicit bids for ongoing projects.
- Assist in pricing bid documents.
- Request reports from project foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive working relationships.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Effective client-facing and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage and complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Must be able to pass 30-hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical examination to meet the physical demands of the role.

- Note: This role involves working on active construction sites with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. You must be physically able to perform tasks such as standing, walking on uneven terrain, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
