About the role#
As a Project Management Intern at Kwest Group, you will gain hands-on experience in civil construction. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and project managers to support estimating and project management tasks. This role is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. Based on your performance, you may be offered subsequent internship periods.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist with quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support to the project management team.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and manage their schedules.
- Provide vendor support and solicit bids for ongoing projects.
- Assist in pricing bid documents.
- Request timely reports from project foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain good relationships with customers and the public.
- Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid math and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Must pass 30-hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical examination to meet job requirements.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This role involves working in active construction environments with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. You must be physically able to perform repetitive motions, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear required personal protective equipment.
