About the role#
As an intern on the Portfolio Valuation team, you will support our work with the alternative investment community, including private equity firms, hedge funds, and pension funds. You will gain exposure to the valuation of illiquid investments where active market quotations are not available. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to financial analysis and client engagements while working in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide valuation advisory services for alternative investments.
- Design financial models using discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing methods.
- Perform valuation analysis on illiquid investments across various industries and geographies.
- Interview clients to gather data and information for engagements.
- Assist management in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Prepare written reports and present your analysis and conclusions.
- Attend industry events to build your professional knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or Engineering.
- Engineering majors must have completed at least four Junior or Senior level courses in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workflow.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
