About the role#
The Kroger Transportation Center offers a 12-week, full-time summer internship program. This immersive experience allows students to work on focused assignments across various operational departments, including supply chain, operations, engineering, and logistics. You will work alongside industry leaders to refine professional skills and gain exposure to senior management.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple supply chain projects while meeting project timelines.
- Conduct supply chain analysis and document best practices.
- Assist in creating process improvement projects and identifying new project opportunities.
- Partner with teams to elicit, analyze, and deliver supply chain solutions.
- Communicate project status, identify risks, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Complete a cumulative project and present your findings to the executive team or managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Transportation, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
