About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support our pharmacy team in delivering quality care to our customers. This position offers hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting, where you will assist with daily operations and patient interactions under the guidance of licensed pharmacists.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling and answer medication questions for customers.
- Accurately input patient and prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense medications and ensure they reach the correct patient.
- Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for new fills and refills.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- The ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- A commitment to performing all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
