About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in the general contracting and construction industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, support active projects, and learn how construction projects are planned, managed, and executed from start to finish. You will report to a project team that provides mentorship and guidance.
What you'll do#
- Assist different departments with daily tasks.
- Learn the fundamentals of project management and jobsite operations.
- Support the project team with scheduling, budgeting, billing, documentation, and account management.
- Help estimators with various parts of the bid process.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and Zoom.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate.
- You should be curious, dependable, and resourceful.
Location & details#
- Location: Brea, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- The role involves both office and jobsite work. You must be comfortable visiting job sites, walking 2-3 miles daily, climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds. You will need to commute to job sites as required.
