About the role#
KPMG Canada is hiring interns for our Cybersecurity Incident Response team. We have openings for the Winter, Summer, and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Montreal or Quebec City.
What you'll do#
- Plan, design, and lead incident simulation exercises that match a client's specific maturity level.
- Perform readiness assessments to check how well an organization is prepared for cyber incidents.
- Write clear, structured reports and recommendations for executive committees, CISOs, and IT teams.
- Help clients create or update their incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures.
What you'll need#
- You are currently studying cybersecurity, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- You have a good understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27035, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- You have experience writing professional reports and strategic recommendations.
- You possess strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- You are proficient in both French and English, as you will interact with multidisciplinary teams and clients in both languages.
