About the role#
Koppers Inc. is hiring a Procurement Intern to work on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will assist the purchasing team with daily operations, data management, and support for various engineering and supply chain projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data for strategic sourcing and indirect material category management.
- Support supply chain and logistics initiatives.
- Enter purchase orders across the business.
- Assist with the equipment leasing function.
- Help the Engineering team with budget quotes on capital projects and related purchase orders.
- Resolve daily invoice transaction issues.
- Collaborate with the team on national accounts.
- Assist with document storage and data entry.
- Support Responsible Care and product safety initiatives.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field.
- A concentration in international business is preferred.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good planning and organizational abilities.
- The ability to research sources for goods and services.
- Experience comparing and organizing information.
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and switch between tasks often.
