About the role#
The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment. This role provides exposure to month-end close activities, fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure processes, lease accounting, and financial reporting.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Assist with account reconciliations and research variances.
- Support fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting processes.
- Support lease administration and documentation maintenance.
- Compile supporting documentation for audits and financial reporting.
- Assist with financial reporting and SEC filing support.
- Prepare analyses and reports using Excel and ERP systems.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with accounting professionals across various functions to support business objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in Accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
