About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Koops Automation Systems, you will work directly with automation systems and apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will be embedded into project teams where you contribute meaningful work, interact with customers, and help improve our processes as a machine builder. Depending on interest and availability, you may work in Controls Engineering, Project Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Design controls, program PLCs, or program robots.
- Perform machine debug, machine prove-out, and handle customer interaction.
- Create machine designs, use SolidWorks for modeling, and work with fluid power or mechanical power transmission systems.
- Visit customer sites and assist with troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student in a Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Ability to work on-site in Saginaw, Michigan.
