About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support our team with projects focused on safety, quality, and process efficiency. You will work directly with engineers and production staff to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role involves a mix of office-based tasks and time spent on the shop floor.
What you'll do#
- Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
- Perform time studies and workstation analyses to improve productivity.
- Develop methods for fabrication and machining processes.
- Provide technical support to production personnel.
- Assist with plant layout, workstation design, and the development of manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
- Create documentation for new product launches.
- Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
- Improve material handling methods.
What you'll need#
- Current student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
- Practical experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.
- Working knowledge or exposure to JD Edwards software.
