About the role#
As a Finance Intern, you will support the Operations Accounting Department at our Peoria manufacturing facility. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, accounts payable, inventory management, and general financial support for our operations. This is a paid, full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Create and post journal entries.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Complete month-end reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Distribute weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Conduct physical audits of inventory.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an Accounting or Finance program at a 4-year accredited college or university.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge to real business situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to new challenges.
- Prior experience in work-study programs, volunteer leadership, or team participation is preferred.
