About the role#
Kohler Co. invites students from approved school-partnered work experience programs to join the Greenhouse café team. This role provides practical workplace experience in a supervised setting. You will develop job readiness skills, foster independence, and gain hands-on experience in a community business environment.
What you'll do#
Students receive training and support to complete a variety of daily tasks. Your responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Assisting with simple transactions.
- Preparing basic menu items like pouring drinks or assembling pastries.
- Restocking supplies and ingredients.
- Cleaning prep areas, wiping tables, and washing dishes.
- Organizing inventory and storage areas.
- Assisting staff with operational tasks, following checklists, and practicing time management.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student at Oostburg High School.
- You must meet the eligibility requirements of the approved school-partnered program.
- You must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Kohler, Wisconsin.
- The role is part-time, with up to 8 hours per week.
- Schedules are flexible and coordinated between school staff and café management.
- The hourly pay range for this position is $8.80 to $13.20.
