About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Klein Tools, you will support the new product development team. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with prototyping, testing, and manufacturing process improvements. This role offers the chance to work within a team environment and apply your engineering knowledge to real projects.
What you'll do#
- Create and post-process 3D prints for product development reviews.
- Design and build prototypes and test fixtures.
- Work in the engineering test lab to test products, report results, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Create or modify basic models and prints.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and submit products for lab testing.
- Partner with the manufacturing management team to suggest process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize tasks and prioritize projects effectively.

- Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
