About the role#
Kitware is hiring for a Software Developer Internship within our Computer Vision team. This is a full-time, paid position that supports our mission to create positive social impact through research and development. You will contribute to projects in environmental monitoring, national and global security, ethical AI, open science, and scientific and medical computing.
What you'll do#
- Develop tools and techniques to visualize computer vision results.
- Build software testing infrastructure and write test cases to improve quality control.
- Run experiments using existing algorithms on large-scale datasets.
- Collect and organize experimental results.
- Create and operate tools to label objects, activities, and events in images and video for algorithm training and testing.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Undergraduate applicants must be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
- Proficiency in C++ or Python.
- Knowledge or experience in computer vision or deep learning.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to contractual obligations.
