About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Co-Op position within the Controls Engineering team at Dematic. You will work alongside a project implementation team to support routine engineering planning and execution. This role involves gaining hands-on experience with system design, programming, and field commissioning.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Controls CAD team in developing layout and electrical schematic drawings using Maestro and AutoCAD-E.
- Create Bills of Material and learn to identify appropriate controls components for system designs.
- Gain foundational knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their programming.
- Travel to North American job sites to assist with equipment and system commissioning.
- Identify and resolve routine technical problems while seeking guidance for more complex issues.
- Participate in professional development sessions and team-based innovation challenges.
What you'll need#
- Must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar modeling programs is preferred.
