About the role#
This Mechanical Engineering Co-Op position offers the opportunity to gain experience across various areas of mechanical engineering within the organization. You will support customer projects while working alongside teams of solution-oriented professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support modernization and upgrades on existing material handling systems.
- Perform site audits to collect necessary project data.
- Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Provide technical support for Estimating, Sales, Engineering, and Field Operations teams.
- Create purchase requests and parts order entries.
- Provide detailed layouts and documentation for modernization scopes.
- Drive activities to ensure new equipment is built to specification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with computer systems and technologies.
- Ability to solve complex design issues and implement cost-efficient solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to learn how to maintain and repair material handling systems.
