About the role#
Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to support various mechanical engineering functions and customer projects. This is a full-time, paid, rolling-term position that requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Support modernization and upgrades for existing material handling systems.
- Perform site audits to gather necessary project data.
- Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades.
- Provide detailed layouts and documentation for modernization projects.
- Create purchase requests and handle parts order entries.
- Ensure new equipment is built according to technical specifications.
- Provide technical support to the estimating, sales, engineering, and field operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with computer systems and related technologies.
- Ability to solve complex design issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn the maintenance and repair of material handling systems.

- Locations: Henrietta, New York and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour.
