About the role#
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team in Omaha. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside engineers on projects that support our irrigation and infrastructure products. You will gain exposure to the design, testing, and documentation processes used in a global manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Update and revise engineering drawings.
- Assist with minor mechanical design and product development tasks.
- Create and evaluate 3D printed models and prototypes.
- Manage Engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Help create and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Support engineering test plans and validation activities.
- Compile test results and write technical reports.
- Work with engineers on product improvement initiatives.
- Participate in project discussions and report on assigned tasks.
- Maintain engineering documentation and records.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of an undergraduate degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling or a strong willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read design drawings and schematics.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities.
