About the role#
We are hiring a Supply Chain Intern to join our team in Omaha. You will support our planning and purchasing efforts while monitoring inventory levels. This role focuses on learning our distribution channels and using enterprise resource planning tools to manage production and stock orders. You will also participate in various sourcing initiatives and complete an assigned project to present to our leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Learn about our products, production locations, and global distribution channels.
- Assist with purchasing and planning for specific product lines.
- Monitor inventory levels and use capacity data to manage supply chain orders.
- Provide analytical support in areas like strategic supply, tactical supply, and enterprise planning.
- Document procedures and analyses while acting as a liaison between departments.
- Learn to use software for demand analysis and sales and operations planning.
What you'll need#
- Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status in a Bachelor program for Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Ability to compare data and resolve discrepancies with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload to meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- You will work on-site at our Omaha headquarters Monday through Thursday.
- A remote work option is available on Fridays.
