About the role#
We are looking for software engineering interns to join us for a 12-week remote program during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work on projects that reach millions of learners and teachers globally. Our engineering team uses a variety of technologies, including Go, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL. You do not need experience in these specific languages to apply, as we provide mentorship to help you learn our stack.
What you'll do#
- Build products used by learners and teachers.
- Support coding, debugging, and testing using AI-assisted development tools.
- Understand, review, and validate AI-generated code.
- Collaborate with engineering mentors to complete your projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in computer science or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- At least one previous software internship experience.
- Ability to start in May 2027 or June 2027 with 10-12 weeks of availability.
- Ability to learn and use AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to give and receive regular feedback.
- Cross-cultural competency skills and empathy for learners around the world.
- Eagerness to learn, educate, write code, and build products.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position. You must be able to work and live within the United States or Canada for the duration of the internship.
- This role is full-time and paid. The target hourly rate is $46.15 USD for US-based interns and $54.51 CAD for Canada-based interns.
