About the role#
IXL Learning is looking for Software Engineer Interns to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will help build and maintain the code that powers our personalized learning products. This is a full-time, paid position based at our headquarters in San Mateo, California.
What you'll do#
- Design and create code for our learning products.
- Participate in the full development cycle, from initial design and coding to testing, debugging, and tuning.
- Work both independently and as part of various teams to solve technical challenges.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your third year of undergraduate study or pursuing an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- You have a solid grasp of general programming principles.
- You possess strong programming skills in Java or another object-oriented language.
- You have strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and source control is a plus.

- Location: San Mateo, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $29 to $46 per hour.
