About the role#
Quantum Signal AI is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work in Saline, Michigan, to build engineering tools and software prototypes. This role involves working alongside experienced engineers on projects that support vehicle features and internal workflows. You will gain hands-on experience solving engineering problems within an R&D environment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects across the full software development lifecycle, from design to release.
- Collaborate with teams to create tools that improve engineering workflows.
- Turn requirements and specifications into high-quality software implementations.
- Learn and integrate various software tools and technologies to meet project needs.
- Write documentation for software, processes, and projects.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- You must maintain student status for the duration of the internship and the following academic term.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging, networking, and file systems.
- Prior experience developing software through internships, work, or academic clubs.
- Proficiency in a compiled language like C++ or Go.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Ability to work in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with web development, including HTML, CSS, and JS.

- Location: Saline, Michigan (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
- Employment: Full-time.
