About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineer Co-op to join our R&D team. You will work on full-stack development for our core applications and data systems. You will gain experience across the development lifecycle by working alongside senior developers on projects that impact our platform.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of new features from initial design to implementation.
- Write, test, and debug code to maintain software quality.
- Participate in code reviews and help uphold coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers and other teams to turn requirements into technical solutions.
- Document new features and enhancements.
- Stay current with new tools and technologies while seeking feedback to improve your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or similar languages.
- Familiarity with at least one front-end framework such as React.
- A basic understanding of back-end languages and frameworks like Node.js.
- Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A sense of ownership and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Nice to have: exposure to cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud, experience with REST APIs, or time spent in high-velocity startup or AI-first environments.

- Compensation: CA$55,000 to CA$68,000 per year.
