About the role#
Keystone Industries is hiring a Research and Development Intern to work in our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Gibbstown, New Jersey. This is a part-time, on-site role that offers hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. You will report directly to our Research Managers.
What you'll do#
- Compound and blend materials to create formulations under the guidance of senior staff.
- Operate mixing and analytical laboratory equipment.
- Perform testing according to established guidelines.
- Maintain the general cleanliness and organization of the QC and R&D laboratory.
- Create and manage electronic documentation.
- Handle hazardous chemicals and waste following safety protocols.
- Prepare project summaries and complete special assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a 4-year college degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Biology.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You possess 0 to 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- You have good math skills, specifically with unit conversions, percentages, and ratios.
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- You have strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- You pay close attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of a team.
