About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Beloit, Wisconsin. You will join the Commercial Development and Sales function, working with major food manufacturers and brands. The internship runs from May 24 to August 12, 2027. You will manage your own projects while supporting the wider sales network and cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with marketing, business, and RD departments to prepare for account meetings.
- Manage incoming leads with a 12-hour follow-up window and connect them with the appropriate account teams.
- Build the sales funnel through email outreach, cold-calling, and lead development.
- Execute marketing launch plans for specific client partner lists.
- Research and report on customer organizations, market priorities, and company hierarchies.
- Handle daily tasks including sample requests, regulatory reviews, and tracking past-due items.
- Review sales performance data against targets and act as a project manager when needed.
- Identify portfolio weaknesses and suggest solutions for Kerry or its customers.
- Summarize competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback to support end-use market strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited four-year university.
- Academic focus in Biology, Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high-quality results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A basic understanding of analytical and statistical processes.
- Highly organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team.
