About the role#
The Legal Co-Op will join the Keros legal team, reporting to the Director of Contracts Counsel. You will support the contract department and work on a variety of projects across the legal team. This is a full-time, paid position with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide ongoing support for the legal department regarding contracts, intellectual property, and general legal operations.
- Prepare redline reviews for documents including Consulting Agreements, Amendments, Statements of Work, and Confidentiality Agreements.
- Collaborate with attorneys on the legal team during contract negotiations.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding contract workflows and signatures.
- Perform legal research on intellectual property issues.
- Assist with intellectual property docketing and documentation processes.
- Manage miscellaneous projects related to compliance and regulatory tasks as requested.
What you'll need#
- Status as at least a rising 2L student, with 3L students preferred.
- Proficiency with DocuSign, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Pro.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and reliable follow-up skills.
- A Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry is a plus.
- Previous legal or contract experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
