About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Construction Management Intern for our 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Temecula, California. This full-time, paid summer role supports project teams working on water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment infrastructure. You will work on-site and gain experience through mentorship, professional development, and direct involvement in project activities.
What you'll do#
- Participate in field work, including verifying existing conditions and documenting as-built conditions through reports and photography.
- Prepare technical reports and calculations.
- Assist with the preparation and interpretation of project plans and specifications.
- Compile project documentation.
- Interact with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and authorities.
- Monitor project communications between the contractor, owner, and engineer.
- Attend construction meetings and manage the distribution of agendas and minutes.
- Receive regular mentorship and advising.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of qualified study.
- Experience with GIS or CAD is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Temecula, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits: Includes $15 per month for cell phone costs, eligibility for the 401(k) plan, and accrued paid sick time.
