About the role#
The Spring 2027 Audit Intern position provides hands-on experience in the accounting industry. Interns work alongside audit teams to support engagements across various sectors, including for-profit, nonprofit, and benefit plan clients. This role offers exposure to the full audit lifecycle, from planning and execution to review, while using professional audit software and tools.
What you'll do#
- Assist on audit engagements across multiple industries.
- Perform audit testing procedures, including cash, payroll, investment, and compliance testing.
- Prepare and update audit documentation and workpapers by referencing prior-year files.
- Interact with client personnel and observe audit procedures during on-site work.
- Utilize audit software and tools such as CaseWare, XCM, ShareFile, and Microsoft Excel.
- Learn to manage time across multiple engagements and professional deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester of an intermediate-level accounting class.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer skills.
- Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting and sitting for the CPA exam.
- Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or accounting systems.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented, and growth-oriented mindset.

- Compensation: Paid position with a hiring range of $30.00 to $32.50 per hour.
