About the role#
KBF Advisory is hiring Tax Interns for our Summer 2027 program. This full-time, paid internship provides hands-on experience in tax compliance, advising, and planning. You will work directly with engagement teams to support a variety of clients, including partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations. This role is designed for students who want to build a career in public accounting.
What you'll do#
- Complete tax-related tasks including compliance and planning for diverse clients.
- Manage project timelines to ensure work is delivered by statutory deadlines.
- Coordinate with partners and managers regarding project status, budgets, and potential issues.
- Learn how to build and maintain professional client relationships.
- Apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects alongside experienced staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting bachelor or master degree program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Ambition to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a clear interest in a tax career.
- A minimum 3.2 overall GPA is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work well in teams.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role requiring at least 2 days per week in our Irvine, San Diego, or Lake Oswego office.
- The internship runs full-time from June through early August 2027, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
- We cannot accommodate class schedules during this period.
