About the role#
The Kansas City Diamonds are looking for a Sponsorship Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role offers hands-on experience in sports sponsorship, partnership management, and corporate relations. You will support the team in maintaining sponsor satisfaction and contributing to revenue efforts from January through May.
What you'll do#
- Maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, community partners, and local businesses.
- Execute sponsor benefits and promotions during games, events, and team activities.
- Communicate with partners regarding upcoming events, deliverables, and partnership updates.
- Track sponsorship agreements, fulfillment requirements, and deadlines.
- Coordinate sponsor signage, promotional tables, branded giveaways, and in-game announcements on game days.
- Research potential sponsors and local businesses that align with the team brand.
- Prepare sponsorship decks, partnership presentations, and sales materials.
- Compile performance reports, engagement metrics, and post-event recaps.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a program such as Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or Communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A strong interest in sports business, sales, and corporate partnerships.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events.
