As a Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting various marketing initiatives while learning the fundamentals of healthcare marketing. Working closely with the marketing team, you will contribute to projects that enhance brand awareness, engage the community, and promote services across multiple channels. This role is designed for those eager to develop practical skills in content creation, digital marketing, event coordination, and performance analysis.
What you'll do#
- Support digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, website updates, and online advertising efforts.
- Create engaging content for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of events and marketing activities.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience engagement opportunities.
- Assist with tracking and organizing marketing metrics and campaign performance data.
- Support referral and patient engagement initiatives that promote services and wellness programs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant program such as Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for learning about marketing and brand development.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in digital marketing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with Canva, social media tools, or design software is a plus.
- Previous experience through internships, volunteer work, or campus organizations is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Hybrid).
- Terms: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
- Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.
- Compensation: Credit earning; this is an unpaid internship.
