About the role#
As a Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting various marketing initiatives while learning the fundamentals of healthcare marketing. You will work closely with the marketing team to contribute to projects that enhance brand awareness, engage the community, and promote services across multiple channels.
What you'll do#
- Support digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, website updates, and online advertising efforts.
- Create engaging content for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of events and marketing activities.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience engagement opportunities.
- Assist with tracking and organizing marketing metrics and campaign performance data.
- Support referral and patient engagement initiatives that promote services and wellness programs.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant academic program, such as Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for learning about marketing and brand development.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and an interest in digital marketing.
- Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Experience with Canva, social media tools, or design software. Previous internship, volunteer, or project experience in marketing is a plus, as is an interest in healthcare, behavioral science, or startups.
Location & details#
- Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Hybrid).
- Terms: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
- Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for credit.
