Data Technology Intern

About the role#

K2 Integrity is seeking a Data Technology intern to support the Financial Crimes Risk Management practice during the summer of 2026. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in New York.

What you'll do#

• Collect, clean, and organize datasets for machine learning projects.
• Maintain and update data repositories used for AI model development.
• Retrieve and prepare data for training and testing machine learning models.
• Convert raw data into structured formats for analysis and automation.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to verify accuracy.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain data integrity.
• Assist with data mapping and workflow automation tasks.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects involving predictive modeling or feature engineering under supervision.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, including indexes, normalization, schemas, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Familiarity with Python or C# is preferred.
• Experience with visualization tools such as D3, Tableau, or Power BI is preferred.
• Applied knowledge of basic statistical methods and concepts is preferred.
