About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for Summer 2027 based in East Taunton, Massachusetts. You will join the HR department to gain hands-on experience through the Furnish Your Future Internship Development Program. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires travel to retail store locations throughout New England.
What you'll do#
- Re-imagine the J-Team employee experience.
- Take ownership of a project that drives key Human Resources initiatives.
- Gain experience in recruitment, HR technology, learning and development, leave of absences, benefits, and compensation.
- Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Research industry trends and HR best practices.
- Support the Learning & Development team by coordinating employee training workshops.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising college junior or senior.
- Enrollment in a degree program for Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning.
- Prior experience in Human Resources or Customer Service is helpful but not required.
