About the role#
Jordan's Furniture is seeking a Retail Sales Intern for our Summer 2027 program. This paid, full-time internship places you on our showroom floor to learn the mechanics of the furniture retail industry. You will work directly with our management team and experienced sales consultants to develop your professional skills and gain insight into our business operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the June Sales Training Cohort.
- Work alongside seasoned commissioned sales consultants to learn the selling process.
- Use a consultative approach to help guests find merchandise that fits their needs and budget.
- Build relationships with customers and team members to drive sales results.
- Lead an independent project that documents your findings and sales contributions throughout the summer.
- Handle other departmental tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a rising college senior.
- You are enrolled in a degree program for business management, business administration, or marketing.
- You have an interest in sales and customer service.
- You are proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
- You possess strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship based in Reading, Massachusetts.
- The term runs for 10 weeks starting June 7, 2027.
- The role requires travel to various retail locations throughout New England.
- Some weekend shifts are required.
- Compensation is $23.00 per hour.
