About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship focused on the buying, planning, and visual merchandising side of the furniture industry. You will join the Merchandising department to learn the full product lifecycle, from initial assortment planning to final showroom execution. You will work alongside Buying, Planning, and Design teams to see how merchandising decisions shape the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.
- Support seasonal buying trips, vendor meetings, and product reviews.
- Review sales performance reports and evaluate new merchandise samples.
- Assist with inventory management and forecasting efforts using historical data.
- Learn showroom planning and visual merchandising processes.
- Create visual displays and in-store presentations.
- Develop mood boards and trend inspiration materials.
- Conduct competitor analysis and research consumer trends.
- Participate in showroom walk-throughs and document merchandising opportunities.
- Lead a summer-long project and present your findings to leadership.
- Assist with reports, presentations, and vendor communication.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising college junior or senior.
- You are pursuing a degree in Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, or a related field.
- You have strong analytical skills and pay close attention to detail.
- You communicate well and work effectively with others.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- You are proactive and motivated to learn.
- Previous experience in retail, design, merchandising, or customer service is a plus.

- This role is based in East Taunton, Massachusetts.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship for Summer 2027.
