About the role#
This internship provides hands-on exposure to the commercial and sales environment within our Vision and MedTech business. You will work directly with the Sales Leadership Development Program team to gain real-world experience through field shadowing, commercial projects, and team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Territory Account Managers to observe selling strategies, customer interactions, and territory management.
- Participate in ride-alongs and in-service observations.
- Partner with Optometrists and healthcare providers to learn how we drive sales and deliver patient value.
- Complete a project that supports the Field Sales Organization.
- Conduct competitive research and develop actionable insights.
- Deliver a final presentation covering your project outcomes and recommendations.
- Receive mentorship from program leaders and participate in learning sessions on commercial strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student entering your junior or senior year.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in sales, healthcare, or the medical device industry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to shadow field-based sales roles.
- Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Preferred: Prior internship or project experience in sales, marketing, business, or analytics.
- Preferred: Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
