About the role#
The Materials Engineering Co-Op supports raw material characterization and qualification projects. You will work with internal multi-functional teams and interact with global material suppliers. This role focuses on research and engineering assignments to deliver project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate data and present progress reports across various functional groups.
- Coordinate raw material and contact lens testing to meet project requirements.
- Conduct engineering assignments related to business continuity and cost improvement.
- Advocate for the continuous improvement of technology and processes.
- Support department environmental objectives and follow environmental policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Bioengineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience with a BS in an Engineering or Science discipline.
- Proficiency in statistical design and analysis of experiments using tools like Minitab.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site as required.
- Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week while remaining enrolled in an academic program.
