    About the role#

    This co-op position within the Mitek R&D department focuses on the development of orthopaedic medical devices. You will work on electro-mechanical systems and their components, such as powered hand pieces, blades, and tubing. The role provides an opportunity to experience the full end-to-end process of product development while contributing to the Mitek portfolio. You will work alongside a mentor to drive project success and receive training through virtual, classroom, and on-the-job sessions.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead portions of projects focused on product development and value creation.
    • Collaborate with a mentor to support your professional development.
    • Engage in training curriculum to build technical skills.
    • Work on electro-mechanical systems and their respective components.
    • Participate in the end-to-end product development process for orthopaedic medical devices.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
    • Minimum academic standing of sophomore year.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • 3-D modeling skills, with a preference for Creo.
    • Experience using hand tools and performing mechanical testing.
    • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship requirements.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Raynham, Massachusetts.
    • The work modality is hybrid.
    • This is a full-time, paid position.
    • The program runs for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms.
