About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship focused on supporting the Procurement team at James Hardie. You will gain hands-on experience by working on projects that improve efficiency, reporting, and modeling. You will work with experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and present your findings to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain cost models for high-impact procurement categories.
- Use AI and automation tools to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
- Develop and organize product and supplier catalogs.
- Analyze procurement data to create dashboards, reports, and insights.
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Document existing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Present your project findings and business impacts to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP and data analysis, is preferred.
- Experience with AI tools, automation, or agent development is preferred.
