About the role#
As an IT Intern in Business Applications, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to project delivery, release management, and operational support. This 12-week paid internship provides exposure to digital customer platform initiatives. You will work with experienced professionals to improve test coverage and documentation while supporting backlog activities and integration efforts.
What you'll do#
- Support application project delivery, release activities, and operational support.
- Participate in assigned integration and Global Applications initiatives.
- Assist in gathering and refining business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with developers during solution design, development, and implementation.
- Prepare and execute functional test scenarios and test cases.
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, and release-readiness activities.
- Validate integration mappings and document exceptions and remediation actions.
- Maintain documentation for requirements, work items, test evidence, defects, decisions, and next actions.
- Support backlog management, user-story refinement, customer onboarding, and self-service documentation.
- Review and complete field-mapping validation between enterprise and digital commerce systems.
- Develop a reusable integration test pack covering order creation, order status, and invoice-processing scenarios.
- Create a customer onboarding and self-service setup guide.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline, such as Computer Science.
- Anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio or a similar diagramming tool.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Exposure to Jira, software testing, ERP systems, integrations, e-commerce platforms, or release management.
