About the role#
As a Human Factors Intern, you will work on advancing AI-persona and virtual-reality research. You will help evaluate AI-generated voice-of-customer personas and establish methods for using virtual reality in consumer new-product research. This is a 12-week paid, full-time program designed to provide real-world industry exposure and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute research studies for AI personas using Human Factors and UX research methodologies.
- Collect and analyze user feedback to identify needs, behaviors, and preferences.
- Develop study protocols and metrics to evaluate user feedback.
- Evaluate emerging research approaches, including AI-generated voice-of-customer personas, and validate their responses.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver project objectives while independently managing your assigned work.
- Identify and communicate project risks, resource needs, and roadblocks.
- Prepare a final report and presentation of AI-persona validation metrics.
- Demonstrate the developed virtual-reality research methodology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Psychology or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Availability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Exposure to user research and voice-of-customer methods.
- Understanding of design-research theories.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
