About the role#
This student position offers hands-on experience within our IT department. You will work across various business functional groups to understand how information technology adds value to our operations. You will learn to ask the right questions, build relationships, and drive solutions while gaining exposure to different lines of business.
What you'll do#
- Translate business problems and opportunities into technical solutions.
- Act as a liaison between the business and development teams.
- Assist in gathering business requirements for technical projects.
- Support reporting and communications for internal teams.
- Apply tools such as business process mapping, project charters, and requirement gathering.
- Engage in job shadowing and build mentor relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program, preferably in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- A desire to solve problems and work with others to map out processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A deep interest in technology and a drive for excellence.
- Ability to meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
