About the role#
As an IT Business Analyst Student, you will join our team to gain hands-on experience in the paper and forest product manufacturing industry. This role focuses on the intersection of business needs and technology. You will learn to ask the right questions, build professional relationships, and drive solutions while working across various functional groups.
What you'll do#
- Translate business problems and opportunities into technical solutions.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
- Map out processes to identify and implement improvements.
- Gain exposure to different business areas and their specific responsibilities.
- Participate in job shadowing and establish mentor relationships.
- Apply core analyst tools including business process mapping, project charters, and requirement gathering.
- Gain training and experience with industry technologies such as Tableau, SharePoint, Clarity, and Azure DevOps.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program, preferably in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- A strong desire to solve problems and work with others to map out processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A deep interest in technology and a drive for excellence.
