About the role#
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is hiring for an Operations Internship in Lansing, Michigan. This is a paid, part-time position designed for students to gain hands-on experience in transportation and logistics. You will work on-site and assist with daily operations while learning about the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Gain an understanding of industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Perform account-specific duties and coordinate maintenance as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a shifting work environment.
- Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
