About the role#
As a Student Associate on the Accounts Payable team, you will learn the invoice-to-pay process using the Stampli automation platform. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you will work under the supervision of team members and leads. You will receive regular guidance and feedback as you build your skills in accuracy and teamwork. No prior accounts payable experience is required.
What you'll do#
- Enter and route vendor invoices in Stampli while following established procedures.
- Verify invoice details, such as vendor names, amounts, and PO numbers, against checklists.
- Flag errors, duplicates, or missing information for review.
- Assist with responding to internal and vendor inquiries, including drafting responses and using in-invoice messaging.
- Help collect vendor documentation like W-9 forms.
- Track invoices through the approval process and support the team during payment runs and month-end.
- Scan, file, and organize physical and digital AP documents.
- Help update standard operating procedures and Stampli how-to guides.
- Escalate complex questions or exceptions to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Availability of 30 hours per week, with a mandatory requirement to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
- Basic Excel skills and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Clear, professional communication skills for both verbal and written tasks.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
- A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a team environment.
- An interest in logistics, supply chain management, or customer service.
