About the role#
The Ithaca College Annual Fund is seeking a Student Supervisor to support the Phonathon program. This position provides professional experience in leadership and fundraising while helping callers reach their goals. This is a paid, on-site role for currently enrolled students with prior experience in the Phonathon program.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a role model for callers by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Coach callers by answering questions, demonstrating effective techniques, and providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare calling assignments and organize motivational activities or materials for each shift.
- Communicate Ithaca College’s mission, priorities, and campus news to alumni and parents via phone, text, and email.
- Solicit gifts from alumni and parents to support the college.
- Maintain and update accurate records and donor information.
- Attend and participate in supervisor meetings.
- Uphold all employment and confidentiality agreements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Ithaca College with previous experience in the Phonathon program.
- Demonstrated understanding of Ithaca College fundraising activities, goals, and objectives.
- Familiarity with the campus, its history, and current activities.
- Strong time-management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and creative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate directions and information clearly and persuasively.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Two shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Hourly Pay: $16.30.
