About the role#
The Ithaca College Annual Fund is seeking a Student Supervisor for the Phonathon Program. This role involves guiding callers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the college's fundraising objectives. You will act as a mentor to peers, helping them develop their skills while ensuring the program meets its performance standards.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a role model for callers by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Assist callers in reaching goals by answering questions, providing coaching, and demonstrating effective phoning techniques.
- Prepare calling assignments and organize motivational activities for each shift.
- Communicate with alumni and parents to share campus news and information about college initiatives.
- Ask alumni and parents to support the college through gifts or pledges.
- Maintain and update records, ensuring all data is accurate.
- Uphold confidentiality agreements and meet established performance standards.
- Participate in required supervisor meetings.
What you'll need#
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at Ithaca College with previous experience working in the Phonathon program.
- Demonstrated understanding of Ithaca College fundraising activities and objectives.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to balance schoolwork with job responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate directions clearly and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Ithaca College campus history and activities.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Two shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Compensation: $16.30 per hour.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
