About the role#
Ithaca College is hiring a Student Supervisor for the Phonathon Program. This role is for students who have previous experience working in the Phonathon. You will act as a lead for callers, helping them reach goals and maintaining a positive environment.
What you'll do#
- Act as a role model for callers by maintaining a professional attitude.
- Coach callers by answering questions and demonstrating effective phoning techniques.
- Support callers through encouragement and by providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare calling assignments and organize motivational activities for each shift.
- Update records and information accurately.
- Contact alumni and parents via phone, text, and email to share campus news and request gifts to support the college.
- Attend and participate in supervisor meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Ithaca College.
- Previous employment in the Phonathon program.
- Understanding of Ithaca College fundraising activities, campus history, and current initiatives.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to balance schoolwork with job hours.
- Ability to communicate directions clearly and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, dependability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Schedule: Two shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- This is a paid position at $16.30 per hour.
