About the role#
The Accounting Intern program provides hands-on experience in accounting practices through a 12-week summer rotation. You will work with various groups, including financial reporting, internal audit, corporate accounting, fixed assets, tax, and accounting policy. This role involves participating in team meetings and contributing to special projects to gain exposure to financial analysis and compliance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Assist with tax computations, returns, and audit documentation.
- Participate in internal audit activities, including reviewing controls and compliance processes.
- Use Excel and accounting software for reporting and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Novi, Michigan.
- The program runs for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 with a 40-hour work week.
