About the role#
As an IT Co-op Student, you will join our infrastructure security team in Verdun. You will gain hands-on experience in how enterprise environments are designed, secured, and supported. This role involves working on real-world initiatives alongside our infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security teams.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the documentation of infrastructure and network security solutions.
- Support projects related to infrastructure security and architecture under the supervision of team members.
- Create and update network diagrams, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Participate in firewall reviews and activities to improve network security.
- Perform connectivity testing and validate security requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze and resolve basic network or security issues.
- Learn about corporate security standards, controls, and infrastructure design practices.
- Support identity and access management initiatives.
- Familiarize yourself with privileged access management solutions, such as CyberArk.
- Research new technologies and share findings with the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
- A strong interest in technology, infrastructure, and security.
- Willingness to learn new tools and technical concepts.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow guidance, document work, and ask questions when support is needed.
- Availability of at least 24 hours per week from October to December 2026.
- Coursework, personal projects, or previous exposure to network security, firewalls, IAM, Active Directory, PAM, CyberArk, cloud security, or scripting languages like PowerShell or Python are considered assets.
